Hi, this is Virginia with the report for Jan. Yes, Jan. and yes, that means I means that I missed some months. Mike said they have been catching some nice size stripers mainly long lining. But, catfishing is really good and can do striper and catfishing and do really good and I have pictures to post to prove it. Will try to get posted soon. Need the perfect gift idea? Fishing is so good and weather is cool in the morning but that's why they invented coats. Mike's customers have been catching lots of stripers and most are over 20 inches. Mike said the fishing is as good as it gets and that means this month is going to be hard to beat. So in otherwords: it is a great time to go fishing. You catch the fish and Mike and Phil does the "cleaning". That simple. We are doing winter catfishing trips this year and have been very successful. In Feb., the biggest catfish pulled was sixty-five pounds. Good size, huh. They bait jug lines, do some striper fishing in between running the jugs and it is a two day minimum. No kidding we work really hard to make sure you enjoy your fishing trip with us, even to booking your lodging and you can also catfish on our dock. We work hard for you because we naturally want your business BUT, we also want you to come back and you won't do that if you had a lousy time. Here is just a sample of what Mike, Phil, Gary, and Scott do for your trip. They get around 3am the morning of your trip to get bait. Not just any bait, it has to be a certain kind and the right size, too. They also carry just enough (they know how many they can carry) in their own tanks so the bait will stay fresh. They know exactly where to go, what time of the year is the best, what the stripers will hit and how deep they are and lastly they know where the big stripers are going to be and also where to go for the "box fish". They also can tell you just real close what to expect certain times of the year. By the way, I can too. No, we don't know it all, we have just been doing this a long time. I didn't hit the surface of the trip itself, like how they bait your hook, take off the fish, rebait the hook even help you get the fish in the boat. I didn't even get to the equipment, which I tell Mike he doesn't need any of it because he can smell the stripers out before the fancy equipment has even seen the fish. They put a lot of time and effort into each trip to make sure you have fun. Sure anyone can go fishing but with a guide you can have FUN going fishing because he is doing all the work. Besides doing all the work they also supply all the tackle and keep track of how many fish you and the other members of your party have caught. (It can get pretty fast and furious sometimes). So come on, give us at least one chance to show you we mean business. The picture down and to the left was caught by Ed and was almost 20lbs and that means starting to catch nicer size stripers. You can be catching fish like these if you will call me or send me an email and I will start putting together YOUR trip of a lifetime.         ATTENTION: DEER HUNTERS Drum roll please:::::"GUN DEER SEASON"::::::::::: The picture to the right is of our "big hunter" of this year. Reed Clark 11 years old took a 10 point buck with one shot opening week end. His Grandad, Mike Wornom, was telling him to wait until it got closer but Reed had already shot before Mike could get the words out. Needless to say Mike is just a tad proud. Reed can't wait to see "Bob" hanging on his wall. All I can say is way to go Reed and I can't wait to see "Bob the Buck" either. Again Good job! Is anyone out there that is not going deer hunting because they don't have a place to hunt? Well, then shame on you for not calling us because we have the land and a great number of deer this year. We had a excellent season this year and Mike still has big bucks left for next year so don't wait to book and get left out in the cold for next year. We have motion camera's in different locations so he knows where most of the big guys are hiding. They take pictures of any kind of movement and I mean any kind of movement. Now, how cool is that? I mean, it will take pictures of all the wildlife, people (just ask Mike and Gary), even spiders. We are also are getting some great deer shots. (no pun intended) Of course, Mike and Gary are having so much fun with the camera's that the first couple of rolls were of them trying not to take pictures of each other or themselves. We have some new pictures in the gallery section, page 5 posted them and they are some beauties, too. Will soon have more to come. AND ATTENTION: FISHERMEN AND FISHERWOMEN Know someone who has a birthday? Need gift idea for Mother's Day (guys don't laugh because there are a lot of us women who would love have a fishing trip for a Mother's Day gift) or Father's Day or just a gift? Mike and Phil are drifting with bait now in 20 to 40 foot of water and they are catching good size quality stripers. This time of the year they are using bait. They have been pulling in stripers up to 18 pounds. Now that the water is cold the fish are more active. It is a good idea to bring a cooler with drinks and then you will have something to take your fish home. It is a very good idea to bring plenty of warm clothing because "you can always take it off but you can't put it on if you don't have it". This picture to the left is of Mckenzie and I think you could say she had fun. Right, Mckenzie? Bet you would liked to have been there having fun. Right? You can, it isn't to late, I promise. Then, while Mike and Phil filet and clean the stripers, you can fish on our cleaning dock for catfish. This is what I like to do when they come in from a trip. The catfish are biting good now and I have pulled in some weighing up to 35 pounds but have seen bigger ones. So what are you waiting for? Just watch out for the PINK POLE OR the YELLOW POLE!! I think the owner is really big! We have also got another adventure for the strong and brave, it is called a HOG HUNT!! They are Russian Boar mixed with Feral. These hog hunts are very successful with the customers. I guess it must be a rush or something, in my case, it would be fear. The success rate is at right a 100 percent. The interest shown and the number of days already booked for hog hunts is unbelieveable, so don't wait too long to book your trip. Hog hunts that are available are in Antlers, Ok. which is in south east Ok. There is lodging available or you can camp or bring your RV, all you need to do is call me and I can set it up for your trip.
